We are Somerset Community Infrastructure Providers Partnership (SCIPP). We are a not-for-profit organisation based in the Somerset.
We have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm and continuing commitment to the privacy of personal information provided by those visiting and interacting with this website. What information do we collect?
When you visit SCIPP website you may provide us with two types of information: Personal information, you knowingly choose to disclose; and Statistical website user information, collected on an anonymous basis as you and others browse our website.
Personal information
Registration
When you apply for membership of SCIPP, contact us via our email or feedback form you will provide us with information about yourself. This information is immediately emailed to a member of our staff and not held on our website’s database. Any messages transmitted by email are sent unencrypted and thus may not be secure and remain confidential while being transmitted.
When you register for further access to the website, this registration information will be stored on our webserver the password will be encrypted and thus not retrievable, only resettable should you lose it.
Statistical website user information
As with most websites, The SCIPP website maintains a log of activity to include: your IP address, the address of the site that referred you to the SCIPP website, the type and version of the browser you are using, etc etc. This is then collated with data from other visitors to inform our website statistics.
We also use cookie technology to allow returning visitors to retain their preferred style settings.
What this information will be used for?
We use the information collected on the SCIPP website to monitor the use of our services and the effects of our marketing. Said information also enables your use of the services available on the website.
