Website maps the cuts

Voluntary Sector Cuts is a new collaborative project which maps intelligence about voluntary groups experiencing reductions in public sector funding.

If you're involved in a voluntary or community group which has been told its statutory funding will be reduced, you can be part of this work by sharing your story. Just fill in this simple form to share your experiences and the impact the cuts will have on the people who use your services.

'Pickles may ban cuts to voluntary groups' - too late for Somerset?

Eric Pickles MP recently told the NCVO conference that 'Councils should not pass on disproportionate cuts to voluntary groups, and not pass on bigger cuts than they are making themselves.'

Hundreds protest as council votes for £43million cuts package

Somerset County Councils cabinet has voted unanimously to recommend cuts of £43million pounds, despite passionate protests from hundreds of arts enthusiasts, voluntary organisations and opposition councillors.

Government's £100m Transition Fund

The government's new £100m Transition Fund will open for applications at the end of the month and be administered by the Big Lottery Fund, the Office for Civil Society has announced.
